How to Support the Leaning Post Ranch
The Leaning Post Ranch is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, and does not receive funding
from any state or federal agencies. Therefore, we must rely upon grants, fund-raising ,
corporate and individual contributions to cover operating expenses.
Tuition from riding lessons cover less than half of our operating expenses, and many of our
participants are unable to afford tuition to the LPR. It is our policy to make services and
lessons available regardless of ability to pay.

Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our therapeutic riding program. They are unpaid personnel who,
under the direction of a NARHA Certified Instructor, assist with the ongoing activities of the center.
Volunteers need no previous experience with horses or the disabled but must be at least 14 years old.
Every volunteer will attend our orientation and hands-on training. Program volunteers can be sidewalkers,
horse leaders, horse groomers, office help, etc. Please contact us for additional information and let us
know if you would like to volunteer. All volunteers are required to fill out the volunteer packet below.
